Nieuwpoort is where the IJzer meets the North Sea: a marina, a fishing port and a wide tidal beach running toward Oostduinkerke.
Oostduinkerke is the organised Belgian kite zone around Surfclub Windekind, DPC and SYCOD, in the Koksijde-Oostduinkerke watersport corridor.
Bredene is Twins Club: a marked kite zone at Strandpost 1, Driftweg 69, on an open sandy beach just east of Ostend, shared with wingfoilers and windsurfers, and the one surf zone IKWV lists for the town.
