Phan Rang - Ninh Thuan
Phan Rang is Vietnam's driest, sunniest province - a dusty, low-key working city with Cham temple ruins and vineyards rather than a built-up beach resort, so it feels much more raw and local than Mui Ne or Da Nang. It suits independent riders comfortable organizing their own transport and food in a place with limited English and thin tourist infrastructure, in exchange for cheap prices and uncrowded spots.

What nobody tells you first
- No airport in Phan Rang itself - budget the ~1-1.5hr transfer from Cam Ranh into trip planning.
- Much less tourist infrastructure and English than Mui Ne - useful to have a kite center/guide arrange transport and translation.
- Traffic on National Route 1A through town is fast and chaotic; take care crossing or riding a rented scooter.
