Galinhos still costs a boat across the Rio Aratuá once the road stops at Pratagil, which is why it never fills the way the Ceará strip does. São Miguel do Gostoso rides off Ponta do Santo Cristo, with Monte Alegre and Maceió as the tide backups. The flat water is Barra do Cunhaú at the Curimataú river mouth, where the stand-deep part of the lagoon is big enough for a whole session. Praia do Amor, under the Pipa cliffs, is the wave one.
