Kitesurfing in Central Greece
5 spots · 1 destination
Central Greece comes down to one proven spot: Raches, on the Malian Gulf near Lamia, where a sand spit splits the bay into a flat offshore-wind side and a choppier onshore side with small waves.
Thermal wind holds steady at 15-25 knots through the June-September season, and local schools teach here despite warnings about rocks and quick-deepening water that make it a poor pick for unsupervised first-timers.
Central Greece holds 5 kitesurf spots in our atlas, grouped into 1 destination. The season runs March to October. Every spot suits beginners. The busiest areas are Lefkadi & Liani Ammos Chalkida.
