Kitesurfing in Western Greece

4 spots · 2 destinations · 6 schools

Drepano carries this entry alone: a narrow cape 16km northeast of Patras, internationally known among Greek spots because its topography carves a protected flat-water pocket beside the spit while the water roughens downwind of it.

A west thermal Maistros drives the summer season, with schools working the flat side and intermediate-to-pro freestylers using the choppier water off the bank.

Western Greece holds 4 kitesurf spots in our atlas, grouped into 2 destinations. Riding here is mostly lagoons. The season runs March to October. 1 of them suits beginners. 6 schools operate in the region. The busiest areas are Lefkada - Agios Ioannis and Achaia.
