- Fishing nets and fishermen's zones, especially October 1-May 31 and sometimes outside the designated zones in main season.
- Trees, bushes, pedestrians and bathers near shore; launch/land well out on the sandbank and ride away from shore.
- Algae in the freeride area can cause skin irritation for some riders.
- Occasional sharp shells on the sandy bottom; booties help.
