What the spot record warns about

  • Shallow, flat, sheltered water means there is little here to hurt you by itself; normal kite safety practice still applies.
  • Marked boat channel about 500 m from the spot must not be crossed; it is used by boats to and from Sant'Antioco port.
  • Fishing nets and fishermen's zones, especially October 1-May 31 and sometimes outside the designated zones in main season.
  • Trees, bushes, pedestrians and bathers near shore; launch/land well out on the sandbank and ride away from shore.
  • Algae in the freeride area can cause skin irritation for some riders.
  • Occasional sharp shells on the sandy bottom; booties help.
