- Local Venturi acceleration south of Dranske can make wind much stronger on the water than it appears from the beach.
- Wind over land can be gustier, especially outside the recommended easterly sector.
- School traffic and changing kite/school zones; during lessons independent riders may be pushed into deeper water and need at least VDWS Kitelevel 5.
- Small sandy beach despite grass rigging area; launching/landing space can be constrained compared with the size of the lagoon.
- Summer cyanobacteria blooms can occur in the Bodden bathing area and are wind/current dependent.
