Eilat / Coral Beach
Coral Beach sits about 7 km south of Eilat city center on the Gulf of Aqaba, within a protected coral nature reserve, and is regarded as one of the best places in the world to learn to kitesurf thanks to steady, funnelled northerly wind and a calm, warm sea. Its winter season (roughly November-February) is a rare northern-hemisphere window when Red Sea/Gulf wind is at its most reliable while European spots are shut down.

|---|---|
| season notes | Wind is funnelled north-to-south down the narrow Gulf of Aqaba/Wadi Araba valley, giving steady NNE-N wind; Windfinder puts the long-run average around 9 knots with gusts to 25 knots at Eilat airport, but shore/valley acceleration makes the beach itself windier and more consistent than that airport average suggests. |

| notes | Described by Wikivoyage as ideal for learners thanks to steady wind and calm, flat sea; small beach means space can be tight when busy. |

| vibe | Small, low-key beach shared with divers and snorkelers; winter draws a dedicated northern-Europe kite crowd escaping their off-season. |
Monthly wind statistics
Station: Eilat (WeatherSpark modeled climatology) (weatherspark, ~0 km) — Windfinder pages returned HTTP 429 rate-limit for the whole batch; used WeatherSpark's direct Eilat page (exact match). Wind direction is north (Red Sea thermal channel) essentially year-round with only mild seasonal variation in speed (6.4-8.3 kt); this contradicts none of the batch's known_best_months (Nov-Feb) on wind strength, but the data suggests summer is actually marginally windier - the Nov-Feb preference is more likely about avoiding 33C+ summer air temps than about wind. No Beaufort probability data available from this source.
