- Read the tide table before you drive out: low tide exposes the flat sandbank water, though high tide also gets called the best stage, so ask on the beach.
- Stay well up-lagoon from the ocean pass once the tide starts falling.
- Book a school for your first session here; the lagoon is shallow but the current is real.
- Bring at least a 3/2 mm full suit, whatever the air temperature is doing.
- Keep a light day free for the oysters and a boat trip out onto the lagoon.

Drive or take a bus from Casablanca, El Jadida or Safi; the coast road north from Safi also works. There is reportedly no direct bus from Casablanca Airport, so you connect through Casablanca.
