Pont-Mahé (Assérac)
Pont-Mahé is a shallow tidal bay spot on the commune of Assérac, on the border between Loire-Atlantique and Morbihan, prized for its very flat, foot-down water and consistent SW-W wind — sources single it out as an ultra-safe learning spot. It is tide-critical: too little water and the sandbank is unrideable, too much and launch space shrinks fast. Local sources rate November-March as the strongest wind season, unusual for a spot marketed mainly through summer tourism.
