Curonian Lagoon - Cape Ventė

A sheltered lagoon shore just outside Klaipėda that has quietly become Lithuania's kitesurfing hub (Svencelė especially), strung with small, half-emptied ex-fishing villages and backed by Ventė Cape's historic bird-ringing station. There's no on-site scene to speak of -- this is a day-trip-from-Klaipėda destination, best paired with the city for food and nightlife and the Curonian Spit for beach and dunes.

seasonal migrationApril-October window with an estimated 60-70% of days rideable; spring and autumn bring the strongest/most intense wind

gust characterGood directions run southeast through north to northwest, with southeast the most common; strength ranges 12-15kt up to much stronger, especially spring/autumn
