Svencelė, a small village on the eastern shore of the Curonian Lagoon in Klaipėda County, has grown from a quiet hamlet into Lithuania's most popular kitesurfing destination, with artificial water channels giving direct waterfront access and a cluster of kite schools now operating there. Sheltered from Baltic swell by the Curonian Spit, it offers flat-to-slightly-chopped, hip-deep water right off the beach.
