Dadaepo Beach

Dadaepo is western Busan's widest beach, formed from sand deposited by the Nakdong River, and is considered the kitesurfing beach of southeast Korea. It combines a large, safe launch zone, shallow water, and a long sand-bar shoreline that creates both side-shore and side-onshore riding areas at different spots around the bay.

Monthly wind statistics

Station: Busan (city climate station) (weatherspark, ~17 km) — No Windfinder page exists for Songjeong, Dadaepo, Haeundae (haeundae 404'd... actually haeundae_beach worked but had the JS-data problem), gijang, gadeokdo, gwangalli, busan itself, or Busan Gimhae Airport (all others 404). windfinder.com/windstatistics/haeundae_beach and /songdo both exist (Haeundae Beach and Songdo stations) but, like every other Windfinder page in this batch, the monthly data table loads via client-side JS and is not present in the fetched page content. Fell back to WeatherSpark's single city-wide Busan page for both Songjeong and Dadaepo, which sit on opposite sides of the city (~20 km apart) and likely have different local wind regimes; treat this as a rough city-wide approximation, not a spot-specific reading. Exact wind speed given only for windiest (Jan, 13.5 mph) and calmest (Jun, 9.4 mph) months; dominant_dir approximated from stated seasonal ranges (N Sep17-Mar31, W Mar31-May26, E May26-Jun27 and Aug3-Sep17); WeatherSpark's extracted text did not state a direction for the gap between Jun27 and Aug3, so July's dominant_dir is left null rather than guessed.
