Sinyang Beach
Sinyang is Jeju Island's premier windsurfing and kitesurfing beach and home to the Korean Windsurfing Association's training centre. A wide, shallow, lagoon-like bay on the island's east side, it is the main teaching hub for the island's schools (including Jeju Kite Lab, based right on the beach), with favorable, relatively consistent wind and space for progression.

Monthly wind statistics
Station: Jeju International Airport (Weather Spark model) (weatherspark.com (MERRA-2 reanalysis), ~31.8 km) — Only station-level data available is Jeju Intl Airport, ~32 km away on the opposite (north-central) side of the island; Sinyang's east-coast, wind-shadowed micro-conditions are not represented. No closer published statistics page (e.g. for Seongsan) was reachable. windfinder.com returned HTTP 429 (rate-limited/blocked) on every attempt during this run, so no windfinder windstatistics page could be fetched; used Weather Spark (MERRA-2 reanalysis, 1980-2016) as fallback. No probability of wind >=4 Bft is published by Weather Spark, so prob_ge_4bft_pct is null throughout; avg_knots is the mean hourly wind speed and dominant_dir is a coarse seasonal approximation (not a true per-month wind rose). No water temperature figures were found for any of these stations.

- Confirm permit/local kite-club requirements before rigging
Rules
- It is the rider's responsibility to check whether kitesurfing is allowed and whether a special permit or local kite-org membership is needed

- Jeju Kite Lab is based right on the beach and offers IKO-certified lessons
- Rent a car to reach Jeju's other east-side spots (Hamdeok, Gimnyeong, Jongdal-ri, Pyoseon) depending on the day's wind direction
