Punta Pellaro
Punta Pellaro sits at the southern tip of mainland Calabria, directly across the Strait of Messina from Sicily, and has been a fixture of Italian kitesurfing and windsurfing for over three decades. Wind is channelled through the strait, giving the spot roughly 300 days a year of ridable conditions on a wide, rock-free sandy beach. It works for everything from beginner lessons to freestyle and wave riding, with Mount Etna visible across the water.
