Kitesurfing in Peloponnese
9 spots · 3 destinations
Peloponnese spots run on a mix of local thermal and frontal wind rather than one dominant pattern, and several work outside the usual Greek summer window.
Simos Beach on Elafonisos is tide-independent for SW and W wind and peaks in winter and shoulder months, not August. Mavrovouni near Gythio anchors the region proper, a five-kilometer beach with a near-daily afternoon thermal, while Nea Kios offers the sheltered, shallow bay version for lessons and progression.
Peloponnese holds 9 kitesurf spots in our atlas, grouped into 3 destinations. Riding here is mostly flat water. Something is rideable here in every month of the year. 6 of them suits beginners. The busiest areas are Simos Beach & Pounta Pavlopetri, Agios Andreas Kynourias & Astros and Corinthia.
