The quiver, in words
Indicative, read off the 4-4.5 Bft afternoon thermal, roughly 11-19 kt, with no local quiver reports to check it against: a 75-85 kg rider is on 11-12 m as the maistros fills in, 9-10 m once it is properly up, 8 m on the strongest afternoons. Mornings are usually too light to ride.A big light-wind kite or a foil earns its place in the bag.

modelled
A weather model's cell over this place, not a station on it. Good for comparing places, weaker for one beach.
Modelled from the operational forecast archive at 1.5–7 km (2023-2024), daylight hours only, not a ground station: it resolves thermal, lake and valley winds far better than coarse reanalysis but still tends to understate a strong local thermal. A windy day has at least three consecutive daylight hours at 12 knots or more. The typical daily max and the direction are columns of the table above, month by month. Highlighted months are the riding season from the spot record.

Rider tips
- Use the morning window for first lessons or light-wind practice; the maistros is an afternoon wind.
- Walk the sand for marked turtle nests before you rig and leave a wide buffer around each one.
- Pick a quiet stretch in July and August. The organized sections fill with swimmers and bystanders.
- Launch and land as you would in onshore waves once the afternoon maistros is up.
- Wear something on your feet: the beach carries pebbles and some rocks.
