Gizzeria Lido
A long, wide sandy beach on the Gulf of Sant'Eufemia in Calabria, sitting on a narrow isthmus locals call 'la bocca del vento' (the mouth of the wind) for the Venturi effect that funnels wind between the Tyrrhenian and Ionian sides of the peninsula. It is one of the most wind-consistent spots in southern Italy and one of Italy's best-known kite venues, having hosted international kitesurf championships (including hydrofoil and course-racing world-title events). One of Italy's largest wind farms sits just inland, a visible clue to how reliable the wind is here.

Station: Gizzeria (WeatherSpark modeled climatology) (weatherspark, ~0 km) — Windfinder pages returned HTTP 429 rate-limit for the whole batch; used WeatherSpark's page specific to Gizzeria (exact match). Model shows winter windiest (8.1 kt) and summer calmest (5.5-5.7 kt), which conflicts with the batch's known_best_months (Apr-Sep) - Gizzeria's Tyrrhenian-coast summer kite window is driven by a dependable afternoon thermal that a 24h average washes out.
