Main beach launch is on a large sandy beach below the village, especially spacious at low tide; the preferred area starts around Kite Point. Avoid launching close to the red dune or cliff and at Porto Velho at high tide, where the wind is gustier and only a few metres of sand remain.Lagoa do Jegue lies about 3 km downwind and is reached in roughly 7-8 minutes by buggy, quad or 4x4, on foot, or as a short downwinder; schools use it for flat-water lessons and freestyle.

- Bring small kites; 6-10 m is the core range in season.
- Add roughly 6-7 knots to the forecast for this coast before you decide to stay ashore.
- Learn and drill freestyle at Lagoa do Jegue, best after lunch once the wind swings the right way for it; keep the ocean beach for freeride and waves.
- Check the tide before driving the beach to the lagoon; at high water you take the inland route by buggy, quad or 4x4.
- Rig downwind of the red dune and cliff when the bay feels gusty, and arrange buggy or 4x4 support before a downwinder rather than after it.
- Carry cash: there is no ATM in Lagoinha and the machines are in Paraipaba. Early December brings bigger waves on the big spring tides, so check the swell before a beach session then.
