Safaga

Safaga is a working Red Sea port town about 45 minutes south of Hurghada airport, quieter and less developed than Hurghada with a more authentic, low-key Egyptian feel - historically a windsurfing hub (host of the 1993 Red Sea World Windsurfing Championships). Suits riders who want a calmer, cheaper, more local base within easy reach of Hurghada's airport and infrastructure; not the pick for nightlife or variety.
