Kitesurfing in Balearic Islands
11 spots · 4 destinations · 10 schools
Son Bou is Menorca's longest sandy beach and its only real kite spot, riding W to NW wind with no rental or lesson operation on the island — riding here means being self-sufficient, not booking a lesson.
Winter and spring bring the cleanest W/NW wave conditions; summer often triggers launch restrictions. It's a wave spot for intermediates and above, not a beginner beach.
Balearic Islands holds 11 kitesurf spots in our atlas, grouped into 4 destinations. Riding here is mostly flat water. Something is rideable here in every month of the year. 6 of them suits beginners. 10 schools operate in the region. The busiest areas are Menorca, Formentera and Mallorca - North.
