Brussa is the undeveloped end of the Caorle shoreline, out on Vallevecchia, and it is a sandy beach break rather than a flat-water spot. It works with small to medium SE swell. Do not confuse it with Bibione: the launch sits west of the Tagliamento mouth, in the Caorle lagoon area near Marina di Lugugnana.
The beach is big and empty, which is the appeal and also the catch, since access is remote and there is nobody on it. Beginners have no business here. The legal picture is the real gap: whether kiting is currently allowed inside the Vallevecchia natural area is unconfirmed, so check before you drive out.

modelled

A weather model's cell over this place, not a station on it. Good for comparing places, weaker for one beach.

Modelled from weather reanalysis on a 10–25 km grid (2022-2024), not a ground station: reliable for trade and synoptic winds, understates thermal sea breezes and valley winds. The typical daily max and the direction are columns of the table above, month by month. Highlighted months are the riding season from the spot record.

Rider tips

  • Confirm current access rules for the Vallevecchia natural area before you drive out; nothing is published.
  • Come with SE swell in the forecast, because that is what the beach break works on.
  • Ride with someone. The access is remote and there is no service on the beach.
  • Leave this one to intermediates and up: it is a wave and freeride break, not a learning beach.
