Chalikounas (Corfu)

Chalikounas is one of the most popular kite spots on Corfu's west coast, a wide sandy beach fronting Lake Korission with a steady side-shore thermal that builds through the afternoon. Wind runs roughly 12-20 knots from the northwest, peaking around July, with a season stretching April to September. The beach's shallow water and open space make it a well-known local training ground, with Kite Club Corfu operating on site.
