Gruissan

Gruissan sits at the north end of the Leucate-Gruissan beach corridor, one of the windiest stretches of the French Mediterranean coast, with the Tramontane blowing more than 5m/s on 40-50% of days. Gruissan-Plage lies on a lido separating the sea from coastal lagoons, and the town hosts the Défi Wind and Défi Kite Surf events alongside stops on the Tour de France à la Voile, reflecting its strong wind-sports scene.
