   Grüner Brink is on the north/east coast of Fehmarn, next to the Grüner Brink nature reserve, and the only water you may ride is the marked kite zone reached from the Grüner Brink parking area by the yellow-board waymarks.

   Wulfener Hals is the headland on Fehmarn's south side, with the shallow Burger Binnensee on one hand and the open Baltic Sea on the other.

   Pelzerhaken

   Pelzerhaken sits in the western Luebecker Bucht, part of Neustadt in Holstein, and the reason people drive here is the sandbank system: standing depth hundreds of meters from shore.

   Heiligenhafen Kitebeach

   Heiligenhafen Kitebeach is the Graswarder/Gillhus stretch on the Baltic side of town, next to the Heiligenhafen marina, and it is the only place here you are allowed to kite: Steinwarder is banned.

   Gold auf Fehmarn

   Gold auf Fehmarn sits at the Orther Reede on the south-west side of the island, and it is Fehmarn's shallow-water classroom: a big sandy standing area, mostly hip deep, with the kite zone marked about 200 m to the right of the windsurf spot along the dike.

   Strukkamp

   Strukkamp is on the south side of Fehmarn, near the Fehmarnsund Bridge, and the way in is through Camping Strukkamphuk: register at the barrier, unload, rig beside the Strukkampbar.
