Kitesurfing in Cyclades
13 spots · 4 destinations · 12 schools
This is Meltemi country: thirteen spots across five islands running on the same summer north wind, roughly May through September.
Mikri Vigla on Naxos anchors the region, a side-onshore beach with schools and shallow water, while the Paros-Antiparos strait at Pounta adds a venturi effect that pushes wind into the 12-25 knot range. Mykonos splits between sheltered Korfos Bay for lessons and fully exposed Ftelia Bay for chop and shorebreak.
Cyclades holds 13 kitesurf spots in our atlas, grouped into 4 destinations. Riding here is mostly chop and flat water. The season runs April to October.
7 of them suits beginners. 12 schools operate in the region. The busiest areas are Naxos - Mikri Vigla, Paros - Golden Beach and Paros/Antiparos - Pounta channel.
