Campania splits into three different coasts: the Cilento stretch — Casal Velino, Agropoli, Paestum — runs on summer thermal reinforced by west wind over shallow, chop-and-small-wave water open to most levels.
Cetara on the Amalfi coast flips that, a cramped sandy launch where boat starts are preferred and only experts need apply, while north of Naples, Varcaturo and Ischitella's Litorale Domitio are the workaday home spots for Naples and Caserta riders, thermal and often gusty from September through June.
