Cumbuco
Cumbuco is Brazil's flagship kitesurf hub, a former fishing village about 30 minutes from Fortaleza that has grown into the country's best-known kite destination. It combines an open Atlantic beach with side-onshore chop, big dunes for buggy/sandboard tours, and - 7km downwind - the shallow, butter-flat Cauípe Lagoon, giving the spot everything from first lessons to high-level freestyle progression in one area.
