Reanalysis over 2015-2024 puts the 09:00-16:00 mean between 11 and 15 knots depending on the month, with 42 to 79 percent of those hours at 12 knots or more; indicative rather than measured at the lagoon. June and September are the strongest months, January and November the thinnest. The usable range quoted locally runs from about 8-10 knots up to 20-27, depending on kite and rider.

Standing depth
Depends on which part and when. In front of the station only the first 20 m or so is sandy standing before the bottom drops; in the lagoon 2 km south there is a shallow standing section that the tide can take away, and next to it a deep-water pool that ignores the tide entirely. Parts of the lagoon are also around 2 m, deeper than standing for most riders and unconfirmed as a figure, so ask at the station which section is standing on the day.

Tide matters for the shallow standing area, which needs enough water; the flat-water pool is not tide-dependent.

The lagoon launch is about 2 km south of the ProCenter surf station, reached by shuttle, with a start/landing service and shade tent. There is a sandy area with lots of space around the lagoon and a road along the western side.

Rider tips
- Take the shuttle to the lagoon 2 km south of the station for lessons or flat water; ride the station bay or Giant Bay only if you hold the level the station asks for (VDWS Level 5 there, Level 3 for the lagoon).
- Check the tide before counting on standing depth in the shallow section; the deep-water pool is the tide-proof option.
- Ask ProCenter whether the EUR 10 per day beach fee (2026) covers rescue at the lagoon as well as the main bay; the answer is not published.
- Bring booties and serious sun protection; the reef edges are close and the summer sun is brutal.
- Fly into Marsa Alam (RMF), about 30 minutes away, unless the Hurghada fare is unbeatable; from Hurghada the road transfer is 3-4 hours.
- Book rental or lessons before you arrive for May-September; the station opens 09:00-18:00 and the wind is most reliable 09:00 to 15:30.
- Keep kites and lines away from the road on the western side of the lagoon when rigging.
- Put the station's local number in your phone before you go out: +20 100 667 2811.
- If you booked a package that includes rental, storage or a course, the daily beach fee (2026) is waived; ask rather than pay twice.

Airport
Marsa Alam International Airport (RMF); Hurghada International Airport (HRG) is a farther alternative.
Route
Fly to Marsa Alam and take a pre-arranged hotel or operator transfer to Three Corners Equinox on El Nabaa Bay: 35 km, about 30 minutes, roughly 30 km north of Marsa Alam town. Hurghada works as a fallback but it is 240 km and three to four hours of coast road.The lagoon itself is 2 km south of the station and is reached by the centre's shuttle, not on foot.

Yes, the lagoon and Baby Bay are the training and freestyle area, described as shallow, clear and almost wave-free, while the main station bay is reserved for more competent riders.

May-September is listed as the best period for the lagoon, within a wider April-October prime season for the Marsa Alam region.
