La Hume (Gujan-Mestras)

La Hume is an officially designated 'plage de kite-surf' on the southern shore of the Bassin d'Arcachon at Gujan-Mestras, a town whose seven small ports are the historic heart of the basin's oyster industry. At high tide the shallow, sheltered lagoon floods over a kilometre of standing-depth flat water, making it one of the basin's most used learner and freestyle-flat-water venues.
