Kitesurfing in Sardinia
27 spots · 10 destinations · 36 schools
Alghero and Poetto work as multi-beach groups rather than single launches in this entry.
Alghero covers Lido, Mugoni, Poglina and Porto Ferro on the north-west coast, running from the easy, gently shelving Lido sand to Porto Ferro's expert-only exposure, while Poetto is Cagliari's city beach, best treated by local schools as a winter option since summer swimmers crowd the main shore near the sixth bus stop by Il Nilo.
Sardinia holds 27 kitesurf spots in our atlas, grouped into 10 destinations. Riding here is mostly flat water, waves and lagoons. Something is rideable here in every month of the year.
15 of them suits beginners. 36 schools operate in the region. The busiest areas are Cagliari - Poetto, Sardinia - Punta Trettu and Sardegna — Stagno di Mistras to Capo Mannu.
